Sandra Naumann
Sandra Naumann is a media historian and curator based in Berlin. Her fields of interest are visual music, avant-garde film and audiovisual live performances. She was working as researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute Media.Art.Research in Linz (AT) on the exhibition, research and mediation project See this Sound on the relation of image and sound in art, media and perception. Together with Dieter Daniels she edited Audiovisuology: Compendium. An interdisciplinary Survey of Audiovisual Culture and Audiovisuology 2: Essays. Histories and Theories of Audiovisual Media and Art. As curator she developed programmes for transmediale, CTM, sound:frame, Shift, Elektra, Experimenta and others. Her previous occupations embrace repertory cinema, film distribution, film production and film festivals. She studied Communication and Media Studies, Art History and German Literature at the University of Leipzig and the University of Manchester.
