Born in Stendal in 1954 • 1976–1981: studied industrial design and visual communication at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Hanover • 1982–1987: studied experimental film and video at the Braunschweig University of Art. • School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Akademie Düsseldorf, lecturer in video • Since 1990, Chairman of the Board of “Kanal X” in Leipzig • Lives in Leipzig and Cologne.
