Loïs Soleil

Through digital art, performance, installation, poetry, and sound, Loïs Soleil bridges the emotional and the political, posing intersectional cyber/techno-feminist questions.
Her work confronts the sexist structures of the internet, its algorithms, codes, cultures, and languages, and explores the relationships between pop culture, identity, voyeurism, and desire. Through self-portraits, internet performances, and poetry, she explores sexuality, love, vulnerability, and empowerment. Her autobiographically driven work is direct, raw, and intimate. For Loïs Soleil, the personal is political, the private is political.

Loïs Soleil lives in Brussels and is a Franco-Scottish artist. She studied Fine Art at various international institutions, including the University of Leeds, ENSBA Lyon, and the École de recherche graphique (ERG). In 2025, her work received an Honorary Mention at Ars Electronica. Her work has been presented at venues and institutions including Cultuurcentrum Grimbergen, Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles | Paris, Marres Maastricht, IKLECTIK London, Beursschouwburg, VIDEOFORMES, That’s What X Said gallery, argos centre for audiovisual arts, the Biennale de Liège, Chroniques, GUM Gent, Le Delta (Namur), Centrale for Contemporary Art, and iMAL.
