Karl-Friedrich König

Freelance filmmaker. Born in Erfurt, he studied ethnology and Spanish in Leipzig and Alicante, specialising in cultural identity. From 2007 to 2013, he was curator of the experimental film festival “Nacht des radikalen Films”. In 2011, he took part in the training programme for young filmmakers in Central Germany – TP2 Talent Pool. In 2014, he founded the production company 2Könige Film together with his brother Tilman König, with which they produced their debut film and released it in cinemas across Germany in 2016. In 2017, he was a tutor at TP2-Talentpool. In 2018, he received a grant from the Saxony Cultural Foundation for an experimental short film project. His short and feature films have won various awards at national and international festivals.
