Ines Thomsen

Studied film and television camera at the HFF Potsdam Babelsberg and ESCAC Barcelona. Freelance cinematographer specialising in documentary film since 2002. Also director of photography for her own documentary films (‘Mañana al Mar’, ‘Ein Papagei im Eiscafé’). Recipient of numerous awards, including the FIPRESCI Prize in Cannes, the Max Ophüls Documentary Film Prize, the Prix Europa, Best Cinematography - new berlin film award, nominated for the German Cinematography Award. Since 2009, has taught at various film institutions.
