Henry Mertens

Born in the Altmark region. After completing an apprenticeship as a printer, he worked for Volksstimme Magdeburg until 1989 and, after reunification, for the association ‘Kinder von Tschernobyl’ (Children of Chernobyl). After obtaining his vocational baccalaureate diploma, he studied design at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau. After starting his own business in the media sector, he has been a freelance producer since 2002, followed by teaching positions in design (2003-2006 FH Dessau) and cultural engineering (since 2009, OvGU Magdeburg). From 2005 to 2010, he also worked in the media team of IBA Saxony-Anhalt 2010. Participant in PMMC 2011.
