Doris Köther

Doris Köther studied prehistory, early history, ethnology, and Scandinavian studies in Göttingen and Copenhagen and has worked as an archaeologist on numerous projects both in Germany and abroad. In 2013, she led an excavation on the campus of the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle on behalf of the State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments and Archaeology of Saxony-Anhalt. Her interaction with students and staff inspired her to launch an experimental project on recent archaeology, which was carried out in June 2014 during the intensive week Archaeology & Everyday Life - á la recherche des trucs perdus with students from various disciplines.
