Opening Werkleitz Festival 2025

Planetary Peasants – both the exhibition and the 2025 Werkleitz Festival – will be officially opened at the Leopoldina on the evening of Thursday 22 May.

To allow visitors enough time to view the artistic contributions to the Werkleitz Festival, a guided tour of the university’s zoological collection will be conducted beforehand.

4pm – Welcome and Introduction
with Arila Perl, Frank Steinheimer and Florian Wüst

4.30pm – Guided Tour

6pm – Joint Opening
of Planetary Peasants (exhibition and the 2025 Werkleitz Festival) at the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, Jägerberg 1, 06108 Halle.
Afterwards, Moritzburg Art Museum will remain open for visitors to explore the exhibition.
