The Werkleitz Festival 2020 Unter uns - Bildproduktion im Mansfelder Land uses the central German region Mansfelder Land as an example to examine current image production in rural areas. The model project invited artists and scholars to work together with locals to bring together external observation and self-description. The essence of this exchange and the results of further artistic and scientific research are published in this magazine. Among others, with texts by Marcus Böick, Lars Fischer, Kati Illmann and works by the class for photography and media of Joachim Brohm, Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig as well as students of ethnology, Martin Luther University Halle Wittenberg.
