Gleb & Igor Aleinikov

Igor Aleinikov

Born in Grozny in 1962. He attended the Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute. In 1980, he began shooting 8mm and 16mm films. Since 1986, he has been working with his brother, Gleb Aleinikov. Founder and editor-in-chief of Cine Fantom magazine. In 1987 and 1989, he organised independent film festivals. Since 1988, he has taught at the Individual Direction Studios of the Free University in Moscow and Leningrad. Jury member at the Montbeliard and Bilbao Film Festivals. Igor Aleinikov died in a plane crash in 1994.

Gleb Aleinikov

Born in Grozny in 1966. Gleb Aleinikov lives in Moscow. He attended the Institute of Building Engineering in Moscow. He has been painting since 1978, performing since 1984, and filming since 1986. Since 1988, he has been teaching at the Moscow Individual Direction Studios, writing reviews for Cine Fantom and screenplays. Since 1994, he has been a director at Aleinikov Bros. Bureau. Director of Cine Fantom Studio.
