Costantino Ciervo

Costantino Ciervo (b. 1961 in Naples, Italy) lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Ciervo is one the relevant pioniers of interactive video installations and sculptures. He studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Economics and Trade, Naples and Philosophy and History of Art at the Technische Universität (Technical University), Berlin. 1993 he participated at the Biennale di Venezia, Venice, Italy. He was nominated for 11th Marler Videokunstpreis (Video Art Prize), Marl (2004) and for the Käthe-Kollwitz-Prize, Akademie der Künste, Berlin (2006). Since 2009 he is a member of the prestigious Deutscher Künstlerbund association. 2012 he was a grant of the Hans and Charlotte Krull foundation, Berlin.
