Anna Maria Friedrich

Born in Thuringia in 1991. After school, self-taught in documentary filmmaking in Erfurt, Berlin, and while traveling. Cinematic experiments, sociocultural activities, and attempts at collective work. 2012 Participation in the PMMC. 2013 Participation in the TP2 Talent Pool in Erfurt. In 2014, realized the pilot season for the web series “Stories from Reality,” awarded the KONTAKT Prize by the Central German Media Promotion Agency. From 2015 to 2020, studied Arabic studies in Leipzig, including a stay abroad in Alexandria, Egypt, in 2018. Freelance work in the fields of documentary film, media art, Arabic language, and journalism. Anna Friedrich is a member of the Filmische Initiative Leipzig (FILZ).
