Anna Hardock

Anna Hardock, born and raised in Düren, North Rhine-Westphalia, studied Media Culture (B.A.) in Weimar and earned her master's degree in Education, Culture and Anthropology (M.A.) in Jena. During her studies and a stay abroad in Hungary, she wrote short stories and discovered the medium of film. In 2019, she moved to Leipzig after graduating. In her first experimental documentary film, я пришла [ja prischla] - Ich bin angekommen (2024), she explores her post-migrant family history through the biography of her grandmother. The film's completion was funded by the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony for two consecutive years. Since 2022, she has been working on a post-growth project in Leipzig and now lives in Halle (Saale).
