Scenic reading S. Anders leben in Sandersleben

We are delighted that Werkleitz, as part of the Agentur für Aufbruch, was able to support Stephanie Kiwitt's participatory reading S. Anders leben. After her text was previously read at the 2023 Werkleitz Festival Mein Schatz and in 2024 at Köthen Castle, the staged reading finally took place in the town Sandersleben itself on February 20.

Since 2023, Stephanie Kiwitt has been conducting interviews with residents of Sandersleben about their relationship with their hometown, current developments, and possibilities for participation. What stories, emotions, and aspirations emerge when thinking about the present and future of the town? Drawing from these diverse voices, she created the text piece.

Eighteen people from Sandersleben, Wiederstedt, and Hettstedt took part in the reading, while over 100 audience members listened attentively. The event was followed by a lively exchange about the town, its future, and new beginnings.
