PMMC Productions Celebrate Festival Premieres

17.10.25

This fall, current PMMC-productions are celebrating their international festival premieres.
The short film Four Percent by Monika Masłoń (PMMC 2024) will have its world premiere in the international competition at DOK Leipzig. The humorous work explores the effects of avatar encounters and physical touch in virtual chatrooms. Four Percent will be shown as part of the DOK Leipzig program in five screenings from 28 October to 2 November.
As every year, the current PMMC delegation will also travel to the partner festival in Leipzig to prepare for their own premieres on the international festival circuit.
On the occasion of DOK Leipzig, MDR will broadcast a repeat of the unicato episode “Documentary Films – Images of Reality?” (2023). The program (MDR, 22.10.2025 at 00:25) offers, among other things, insights into the origins of Werkleitz.

The production Über Brücken by Theresa Münnich (PMMC 2024) celebrates its world premiere from 21 to 26 October in the documentary film competition of the Spektrum Festival in Poland. The work examines the fractures of European history along the Lusatian Neisse, the border river between Poland and Germany.

In Halle (Saale), Der Schöne Apotheker by Martha Runge (PMMC 2013) will be screened on 24 October at Puschkino Halle – as part of the WIR short film program Perspectives from Halle.
