Mad Linn Local hero warm-up: the finest hip-hop, funk and house, 100% analogue and played from vinyl. So tie your trainers extra tight and come down to the Werkleitz party room.
Dorothy Parker Since her debut as a DJ in early 2014, Dorothy Parker has more than made a name for herself on the queer-feminist scene. She played warm-up sets for acts such as Ariel Pink and Dan Bodan and can be heard on numerous events all over Germany. She has now packed her CD collection for a visit to Halle on occasion of the Werkleitz love party, and will carry the purple flavour into our capital of hearts: dance floor politics, asses out, asses out / Ya shorty you's about to get worked the fuck out!
Shape What happens when you mix up Bootsy Collins funkiness with a Questlove groove and the soul of D'Angelo and update them for the ears of tomorrow? It happens here: Shape, the force behind the Chopy Wood series (http://www.chopywood.de), expert in woodchopping, sawing and grinding, clashes crunchy drums with deep bass runs, synthetic and organic sounds, riding a tight balance between experimentalism and his empathy for the dancefloor. This is music for all your loose joints and twice your brain halves. The distinctions between rap, beats, dubstep and whatever all dissolve in the boil of this record stew. So carry the coals up from the basement and get firing, then fall into a smooth embrace.
