Neu-Neustadtmodell

12-Teilige Postkartenedition

In autumn 2006, Maike Fraas and Daniel Herrmann created an initial interpretation of the Evidence of Settlement collection using the Neu-Neustadt model. After spending days masking off the road and path network of Neustadt, they began to position the town’s distinctive buildings within the model. Two poodles form the ‘Krumme Hund’ (Richard-Paulick-Straße), a row of lemonade and beer bottles makes up the ‘Weißen Riesen’ (Block 10, at the Gastronom), packets of washing powder represent eleven-storey buildings, and clothes hangers form the curve of the closed five-storey development in Südpark.

Culturtraeger and Werkleitz are publishing a 12-part postcard series featuring the view of the Neu-Neustadt model in 2014 to mark the exhibition project [Nachweis für Besiedlung] (http://werkleitz.de/nachweis-fur-besiedlung), a 12-part postcard edition featuring a view of the Neu-Neustadt model.
