Lecture Jonathan Everts

From 5 to 7 December 2022, Umbruch im Film, an industry get-together for the professionalisation and networking of filmmakers, film producers, film festival organisers and film curators, presented by the Werkleitz Gesellschaft, took place in Halle (Saale). Umbruch im Film focused on films that address current social upheavals such as deindustrialisation and structural change in rural areas and post-mining landscapes. Jonathan Everts is a human geographer and professor at Martin Luther University Halle. In his lecture, he attempts to summarise current phenomena with the concept of the planetary turn.
