Samuli Salonen

Samuli Salonen (born 1986) is a filmmaker based in Leipzig. He graduated from the Audiovisual Media School in Helsinki in 2010 and has since worked as a freelance editor, cameraman and director in television, advertising, independent films and documentaries. Since 2011, he has shot and produced several independent short films and music videos that have been screened at short film festivals. His latest short documentary, About Finnish Manhood, premiered at DOK Leipzig 2019. In addition to filmmaking, he composes music, plays in a band and is one of the founders of Kino Datsche e.V..
