German Angst

Fear in animation.

Nowadays, statistics pervade nearly each single sphere of life as an empiric approach to explain life. Statistical knowledge as well as fears use to impose their abstract power to influence or inhibit peoples' actions.

From this perspective the designers Klävers and Zeese take a look on the statistics of fear and and reach the point of animating of the phenomenon of German Angst, i.e. anxiety peculiar to the German culture.

Using statistical information about the fears of the German population this work has been produced for the course animated information design with prof. Tom Duscher.
