Time passes all by itself, and yet we ourselves are responsible for how we perceive the fleeting moment between the past and the future. Zeitsprünge [Time Leaps] revolves around the human desire to master time, to outwit it or overtake it. It considers the desire to lend meaning to the passage of time, the search for ultimate methods of time management and linguistic time capsules that bring us closer to eternity – alongside our repeated failure to fit everything that matters into the 24 hours of the day.
Generations on Screen gets to the heart of the matter: family. Every family is as universal as it is individual. It can be a source of inspiration or anxiety, a place of refuge or a no-go area, a source of stability or a millstone around the neck. Family leaves no one untouched; it links us to the past and is the place where history materializes – whether we like it or not.
In the children’s program Zeitlupe [Slow Motion], recommended for ages 5 and over, we embark on a surprising journey into the mysteries of time.
