Is tradition the highest honour or the greatest misfortune? The village of Pöhla is debating this. Despite the devastating health consequences, mining traditions in the Ore Mountains are still kept alive 30 years after reunification. With the closure of the last (uranium) mines in 1992, which irreversibly shaped the land and its people for 800 years, the people were forced to build a new tourist identity. The film will be followed by a discussion with the director Laura Reichwald and the curators Emerson Culurgioni and Florian Fischer.
