Leonie Kock

Leonie Kock grew up in Aschaffenburg. After studying cultural anthropology/European ethnology in Hamburg and a brief excursion into analogue photography, she worked in various areas of community and cultural work. Here she developed her documentary film debut ‘Faltenrock’ (2019). In this personal portrait about images of ageing, dance, autonomy and social participation, she combined directing, producing and cinematography. In addition to subsequently studying documentary film at filmArche in Berlin, she has been involved in freelance work with various documentary formats, including animation and performance. She also works with the Pantarei Approach to body therapy and gives workshops and individual sessions.
