Cord Riechelmann

Cord Riechelmann studied biology and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin. He was a lecturer on the social behaviour of primates and the history of biological research. He also worked as a columnist and urban nature reporter for the ‘Berliner Seiten’ section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Riechelmann is the author of Wild Animals in the City (2004) and Bestiarium. The Zoo as a World – the World as a Zoo (2003). His main interest lies in the living conditions of nature within the culture of urban habitats.
