Clemens von Wedemeyer

Clemens von Wedemeyer, born in Göttingen, Germany, in 1974, currently lives and works in Berlin and holds a professorship in media art at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. The artist and filmmaker studied photography and media at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig, graduating in 2005 as a master student of Astrid Klein. Clemens von Wedemeyer has participated in group exhibitions such as the 1st Moscow Biennale (2005), the 4th Berlin Biennale (2006), Skulptur Projekte Münster 2007, the 16th Sydney Biennale (2008), and dOCUMENTA (13) (2012). He has had solo exhibitions at MoMA PS1, New York, the ARGOS Centre for Art and Media, Brussels, the Barbican Art Centre, London, the Frankfurter Kunstverein, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and the Hamburger Kunsthalle, among others. “ESIOD 2015” premiered at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in 2016.
