Perspective Divide

The work Perspective Divide explores surveillance strategies and the temporality of video footage. A video is broken down into individual stills, which are then divided into spatial sections of the image and superimposed onto an object taken from a public space. The loss of quality resulting from the transfer from digital to physical form obscures details of the image, which resembles footage from surveillance cameras; at the same time, the temporal progression and movement of the subject are emphasised.
