A dialogue on upheaval and new beginnings in Cottbus and Halle (Saale) (event in German)

Since reunification, many East German cities have experienced economic decline and population loss. But a new trend is emerging: cities such as Halle (Saale) and Cottbus are experiencing upheaval and new beginnings. They are developing into centres of innovation. Projects such as the Future Centre for German Unity in Halle or the Lausitz Science Park in Cottbus demonstrate the opportunities offered by structural change. Are we witnessing the beginning of a new phase of urban development in eastern Germany?
