Hope Road

Hope Road is an experimental short film that reflects on the filmmaker’s artistic crisis in a world ravaged by crises and wars: as the mother of a young child whose very existence seems to demand something other than the production of art from her. As the artist’s “old world” crumbles, she escapes the dystopian scenarios of the present by adopting the child’s perspective: a perspective on humanity that is almost inconceivable to the Western world, yet shares a secret kinship with the worldview of the indigenous peoples of South America.
