Generation Tandems

Over the next four years (2026–2029), Werkleitz will devote itself to the complexity of time.
We aim to explore attempts at slowing down, generational conflicts, prehistoric and primeval times, as well as future futures—artistically, discursively, through excursions, and through creative participatory formats.

In our Generation Tandems, we seek to bring young adults and senior citizens together in initiated conversations and to continue working dramaturgically with the dialogues that emerge. The results will be presented at the Werkleitz Festival Früher oder Später [Sooner or Later] from 2–12 July 2026 in Halle (Saale).
For these tandems, we are looking for young adults based in Halle (Saale) or the surrounding area who are interested in starting this dialogue with our support and who have time for several meetings with their tandem partners between January and July 2026. Participation includes a reimbursement for expenses.
