Born in Leipzig in 1969, lives and works as a freelance artist under the name A.O.B.B.M.E./Research —> Urban —> INTERVENTION in Berlin • 1987–93: Studied at the HfBK, Dresden (under G. Hornig, H. Leon, K. Nicolai, H. Wagner) • 1993 Diploma, Department of Scenography • 1993–95 Master’s student under Prof. G. Hornig, supported by the State of Saxony’s graduate funding programme • 1994 Founding of A.O.B.B.M.E. in Berlin • Working grant from the Stiftung Kulturfonds Berlin • 1995 Max Pechstein Prize from the City of Zwickau • 1995–96 studio grant from the Dresden Cultural Foundation, Dresdner Bank and the City of Frankfurt am Main • 1996–98 grant from the Guenther Peill Foundation of the City of Düren
