Valérie Madoka Naito

Architect and documentary filmmaker. Studied architecture at TU Dresden. Married, three adult children. Born in Geneva, Switzerland. Resides in Dresden. NAITO works nationwide as a straw bale architect in planning and consulting as well as giving lectures. She is a prize winner of the Baukultur Thüringen Foundation, among others. Her current projects are ‘Straw Bale Settlement’ and ‘Straw Pavilion’ as well as the management of the ecoQuartier Pfaffenhofen (9 ha residential and commercial area).
