Stephen Kovats

Media researcher and architect Stephen Kovats is artistic director of transmediale, Berlin's festival for art and digital culture. Previously programme curator at V2_Institute for the Unstable Media, Rotterdam and initiator of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation's Electronic Media Interpretation Studio. His interests lie in the dynamic and strategic relationships between media, political, and electronic space, and are realised through international and cross-disciplinary projects aimed at strengthening the role of art and technology within the transformation of societal and cultural landscapes.
