Born on 21 April 1975 in Magdeburg • 1993: A-levels • Active in the field of computer graphics since 1990 under the name ‘Spiv’ • 1992–96: Graphic artist/designer in the computer demo scene, ‘Infect’ (Amiga) • 1995: Internship at DeTeCSM, Deutsche Telekom ComputerService, Magdeburg • Since 1995: Studied at the Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig, Department of Media Art • Active as a programmer and web designer since 1996, working both in the art and club scene (Distillery) and for numerous agencies (projects at: www.spiv.de) • Since 1997: Specialised class in Media Art, Prof. Helmut Mark • Since 1999: Tutor for internet projects at the Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig • Projects, exhibitions, awards: 1993 “The Party Gathering”, Congress Centre, Aars, Denmark; 5th prize at Amigademo “Harmagedon”, group project with Swedish programmers and musicians • 1997 “labland”, medialab E+A, Leipzig
