Martha Runge

Born in Berlin. Studied painting and graphic design at Burg Giebichenstein until 2005. "During a year abroad in Belgium, I found my artistic theme. In the final years of my studies, I began teaching myself photography and also experimented with filmmaking. I try to use film to blend the colour from painting and the images from photography. This creates a cinematic painting that is given rhythm through editing and the addition of music, and a temporal limitation through the length of the film." After completing his studies, he received a graduate scholarship. From 2007-08, he pursued postgraduate studies in Prof. Ute Hörner's media art class. In 2010, he attended the European Animation Class.
