Leon Meschede

Leon Meschede (born 1999, Halle/Saale) is a visual artist and filmmaker. His essayistic works explore how history is constructed, remembered and politicised, particularly in the context of East German identity after reunification.
He studied at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, and his films have been shown at venues including the Volksbühne Berlin, Nordic House Reykjavik and Lkham Gallery Ulaanbaatar.
