Clemens Beier

On the edge – grew up in the border town of Görlitz/Zgorzelec. In the middle – studied media art at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. At the end – graduated with honours with the film ‘Schmidt – A Story of the German Province’ and the book ‘The ABCs of Student Film – An Encyclopaedia with Gaps’.

Clemens Beier lives and works as a director and author in central Germany, where he completed the qualification programme for young filmmakers in central Germany, ‘TP2 Talentpool,’ in 2012 and has been involved in a wide variety of film projects in the documentary and feature film sectors since 2009. Whether in the deserts of Africa, the bays of North Vietnam or the metropolises of Europe, from time to time he also travels abroad as part of the film collectives ‘KAMMER11’ and ‘ROSENPICTURES’.
