Charlotte Eifler

Charlotte Eifler is an artist and filmmaker. Her work deals with the politics of representation in connection with technology. With a focus on feminist approaches at the intersection of science fiction, she explores processes of image production and imaginations of alternative futures. Eifler studied theatre and media studies as well as fine arts at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, UDK Berlin and HGB Leipzig. She currently teaches image politics at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) in the Media Art/Film department.

Charlotte Eifler has presented her work at ACM Siggraph Art in Los Angeles, the Sapporo International Art Festival Japan, Le printemps de Toulouse, IMPAKT Utrecht, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden Baden and the Oberhausen Short Film Festival, among others. Residencies and scholarships have enabled her to conduct research in Moscow (Rosa Luxemburg Foundation), New York (KdFs Foundation) and Mexico City (Institutio Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura).
