Carsten Saeger
Visual artist, born in Halle (Saale) in 1988, deals with the themes of body, identity, and memory in situational installations, performances, and video works. He studied communication design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle (Saale) and graduated with a degree in media art from the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig. In 2019, he received the 24th Federal Prize for Art Students. He has exhibited his work at the Roman National Museum, MdbK Leipzig, GRASSI Museum Leipzig, the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn, and Temporary Gallery Cologne, among others. In 2020, he received a scholarship from the City of Leipzig and his work is represented in public collections. From 2019 to 2021, he was a lecturer in the Installation and Space class at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. In 2021, he received the Rome Prize from Villa Massimo.
