ProtagonistInnenarbeit, Gesprächs-/Interviewführung, Case Study
Personen
On the internet, the portrayal of real people is an even more sensitive matter than on the big screen or on television: not only is it almost impossible to control how content is received, but it is also difficult to prevent its further dissemination. On the other hand, the internet can offer people a broader platform for their concerns and demands than traditional media ever could. This makes it all the more important for filmmakers to consider carefully who they include and for what purpose. Questions for the workshop include:
-
Who am I and what is my aim?
-
What do I actually want to find out and put up for discussion?
-
What is my attitude towards my protagonists?
-
What responsibility and moral obligation do I undertake when I ask someone to become a protagonist (personal level versus the film’s public impact)?
-
How do I create a situation of intensity and trust?
-
How do I translate conversations into film so that the speakers are not merely ‘filmed’; how do place, time and situation influence a conversation?
The transmedia project “Havarie”, which has been presented in cinemas, as a novel and in an exhibition context, will be presented as a case study.
