Now that the teams have been formed at the end of the first workshop, it's time to get down to the nitty-gritty work on the material. Ideas are further developed and reviewed for their practical feasibility. Initial research results are examined so that various dramaturgical approaches can be played out and analyzed within the group. These discussion rounds form the backbone of the PMMC, creating a safe space with a productive culture of discussion in which the projects can grow.

Starting with the second workshop on material development, concrete text work also begins on the communication tools that are indispensable for professional documentary film production: logline, synopsis, exposé, treatment. These form the basis for further dramaturgical support, production management, and shooting planning through to editing.
