Presentation of the Spring School Magazin | Generations

The Spring School of the Agentur für Aufbruch on the theme of generations took place from May 11 to 16, 2026, in Hettstedt. During the workshop week of the Spring School, students of human geography at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and of communication design with a focus on photography at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle conduct interviews and create portraits of people in Eisleben, Hettstedt, Molmerswende, and Mansfeld. In doing so, they speak, among others, with nuns, a social worker, a farmer, and members of a gymnastics club about the idea of time as well as about generations.
In the Spring School magazine, the portraits created on site are placed in relation to the documented generational experiences.
The magazine will be on view from July 3–12 in Halle (Saale) at the Werkleitz Festival Früher oder Später, at Große Ulrichstraße 13–15. Within this context, further events of the Agentur für Aufbruch will take place as part of the annual theme of generations.
