NEU im Autohaus Schneider in Helbra

The Schneider car dealership in Helbra is the second stop on the travelling exhibition NEU. The opening will take place on Saturday, 26 August at 11:00.
As previously at the Summa Passage in Hettstedt, Werkleitz presents new and fresh perspectives on the Mansfeld region. Photographers and designers from Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle have re-examined the landscape through photography, audio and film. The starting point for the artistic works are photographs by Wieland Krause, who documented the dismantling of the August-Bebel-Hütte in Helbra in Spuren_Mansfeld in 1993. Krause himself also returned to the region thirty years later and is presenting his sound collage Ton_Spuren as part of the exhibition.

The travelling exhibition can be viewed at Autohaus Schneider during regular opening hours until Monday, 4 September. Subsequent venues are the Bonifatius Church in Vatterode (10–17 September) and Sandersleben Town Hall (7–14 October).
