In einem Meer von Tönen

In einem Meer von Tönen documents the cooperation between the band l'arc six and the orchestra Staatskapelle Halle which have commonly planned, rehearsed and presented a genre crossover project for the opening concert of Jazz festival Women in Jazz 2013. The 45 min documentary shows musicians of l'arc six, the board of festivals organisors as well as the conductor and members of the Staatskapelle Halle during the preparation of the premiere in February 2013. Interviews with protagonists and an amount of original music accompany the process from first rehearsals until the unique concert.

l'arc six & die Staatskapelle Halle - In einem Meer von Tönen - Die Dokumentation 2013 is a production of the students Juliane Klinckmüller, Alexander Glatz and Sebastian Demant. It has been produced for the seminar „I'm a happy women - Die Musikerinnen des Festivals „Women in Jazz" by Frank Venske and Matthias Greiß at Hochschule Merseburg 2013.
