In the course of urban redensification and gentrification, numerous demolitions offer a spectacle of precise destruction that onlookers often find difficult to tear themselves away from. Collective protest is the exception. Instead, there is admiration for the incredible power of the demolition equipment or spellbound horror at the sight of the demolition. The experimental film, made from documentary material from various construction sites and interviews with those affected, constructs a new visual space that is brought into a fragile constellation with an audio space of various analytical and emotional expressions. The subject of the film is the uncertain zone between the spectacular and the unspectacular sides of capitalism.
