On an Exploration! A Walk-Through Exhibition by Students from the Neustadt Secondary School in Weißenfels

What makes Weißenfels a great place for young people to live?
Which places tell stories—and which ones could be reimagined?

In early September, the Agentur für Aufbruch invites students from the Neustadt Secondary School in Weißenfels to discover their city from new perspectives.

For three days, Weißenfels will become a space for research and creativity focused on young perspectives. The students will embark on creative explorations: they will observe, interview, discuss, design, and develop new ideas for the future of their city. In doing so, they’ll combine urban research with art—resulting in audio pieces, visual installations, and other creative works that give voice and visibility to their hopes and visions.

Together with the Weißenfels Youth Advisory Council, we invite you to the official exhibition opening and an audiovisual city walk:

Public tours:
September 4 — 10:00 a.m. | 11:00 a.m. | 12:00 p.m. with students from SKS Weißenfels
September 7 — 5:00 p.m. tour with the Youth Advisory Council
September 10 — 4:00 p.m. Guided tour with the Youth Advisory Council
September 15 — 4:00 p.m. Guided tour and storytelling café
September 17 — 5:00 p.m. Guided tour with the Youth Advisory Council

Anyone interested is kindly invited to take an audiovisual stroll through Weißenfels. Whether on your own or on guided tours led by the young people, you can learn about their ideas and engage in conversation about their visions for the future, their hopes, and ways we can shape the future together.
