How can we observe or remember animals once they have become extinct? The unique Zoological Collection at Martin Luther University in Halle offers the chance to look history and the animals straight in the (glass) eye. The collection is constantly being expanded. The film follows taxidermists and entomologists as they work: transforming insects and mammals into scientific exhibits.
