Breathtaking

On the occasion of the presentation of the new film by Dutch artist Pim Zwier at the Zentralmagazin Naturwissenschaftlicher Sammlungen Halle (Saale), we will show his film "Breathtaking" from our media library in the month of July 2022.

How can we watch or remember animals that have already died out? The unique zoological collection of the Martin-Luther Universität at Halle provides the opportunity for close encounter with far relatives and long gone species. The collections constantly expand. Breathtaking joins taxidermists and entomologists at work participating at the transformation of insects and mammals into exponats.
