Anna

Anna recalls stories from her childhood that were told so often they became part of her self-image. Anna as a chubby child in ballet class, Anna with a family of friends in Venice, Anna as a teenager at the disco. These memories are part of an identity defined by her chubby body, by the ingrained belief that she is wrong.

ANNA is the third hybrid short film by werkgruppe2, developed and produced in collaboration with the performer Katharina Bill. The texts are taken verbatim from interviews with fat women.
