Sophie Stephan

Media artist from Leipzig. She studied fine art at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel and mass media research – art in public media spaces at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. She works at the intersection of art, art education and film. Her participatory artistic research focuses on social participation. A recurring theme is the reflection on time from both sociological and philosophical perspectives. Since 2016, she has been working under the name ZOFIA as a videographer in and for various collectives in the field of dance and exhibitions.
