Birgit Hein

1966–1988 Experimental films, performances and installations with Wilhelm Hein. Co-founder of XSCREEN in Cologne in 1968. Since 1971, numerous publications on experimental film, including Film im Underground, Berlin, 1971, and Film als Film, Stuttgart, 1977. Participated in Documenta 5 in 1972 and Documenta 6 in 1977. From 1990 to 2008, professor of film and video at the Braunschweig University of Art.
Member of the Berlin Academy of Arts.
